CHN 225 Chinese Film: Cinematic Encounters with Culture and Society
This course engages students in film analysis, in understanding film as
social practice and in textual, inter-textual and con-textual study of
films. Selected films are organized under the topics of modernity,
cultural roots, gender, ethnicity, youth and urbanism.
