Jane Love

CTL Director
Office: 002F - Lower Level
James B. Duke Library

Jane currently serves as the Director of CTL. Her background in continental philosophy (M.A., Vanderbilt) and literary theory (Ph.D., University of Florida) informs her interest in teaching and learning as ways of organizing meaning—of which there is never enough, and always too much!

Jane's teaching and research areas include ethics and social justice, narrative and storytelling, integrative thinking and learning, and philosophies of eating and food. Her recent interests have focused on threshold concepts, the development of undergraduates as writers, and liberal arts approaches to hybrid teaching and learning. She teaches in the First Year Writing Seminar program at Furman.
