Furman uses its sustainability curriculum and community programs to educate the Furman and Greenville communities on sustainable transportation. We provide a shuttle service for students and encourage carpooling to reduce the amount of greenhouse gas our community produces. Additionally, we're working towards transitioning our vehicles away from gas-powered vehicles and toward alternative fuels.
Furman also participates in efforts to build more sustainable transportation options for the Greenville community. Our campus is served by Greenville's public bus system, Greenlink, which connects Furman with downtown Greenville. The university is also a partner in Greenville's Electric Vehicle Ecosystem project, a part of the Greening of Greenville Initiative. At the Hartness Welcome Center, you'll find electric vehicle charging station for visitors and members of the Furman community.
