The greening of Furman

Although any fashion-conscious person would never consider wearing green and purple, the colors seem to be a perfect match at Furman. Within the past two years, the university has undertaken a number of environmental initiatives that are helping Furman garner national accolades while encouraging faculty, staff and students to live in a more earth-friendly way.

Furman to hold "Fall Fest"

The university will host the "Furman Fall Fest" October 19 behind Daniel Dining Hall. With a county fair theme, the festival will feature a variety of "vendor" foods including cotton candy, funnel cakes, giant pretzels and boiled peanuts. Corn dogs, chili and salads will also be served, so bring your appetite.
