Montague to undergo renovation
Originally constructed in 1958 to house married students, Montague Village will be renovated next summer into an administrative office complex. A final list of departments to be relocated to the center has not been determined. But candidates include Marketing and Public Relations, Administrative Services, Computing and Information Services, Development and Public Safety.

Although any fashion-conscious
person would never consider wearing green and purple, the colors seem to be
a perfect match at Furman. Within the past two years, the university has undertaken
a number of environmental initiatives that are helping Furman garner national
accolades while encouraging faculty, staff and students to live in a more
earth-friendly way.

Additional
apartment complexes will increase on-campus residency rate to 95 percent while
fostering more interaction among students, faculty and staff.

The university will host the "Furman Fall Fest" October 19 behind Daniel Dining Hall. With a county fair theme, the festival will feature a variety of "vendor" foods including cotton candy, funnel cakes, giant pretzels and boiled peanuts. Corn dogs, chili and salads will also be served, so bring your appetite.
