"This is an interesting proposition, but I would hope they
consider the impact on the astronomy lab."
Laura Wright, Chemistry
.
|
| "I think its a
good idea because a lot can be learned from older adults. The center could help bridge the
gap between young and old. It could offer students the opportunity to tap lifes
wisdom." Kevin Treu, Computer Science |

|

|
"Does this mean that there will be no more benches for the
students to sit on? Wont the old folks be using them to feed the pigeons? Yes, I
know that there are currently no pigeons on campus, but when the old folks come wont
the pigeons follow?"
Ed Babinski, Library |
| "I think this will be
an excellent opportunity not only for Furman but for the Greenville community. With Y2
Community coming up, I cannot think of a better way to reach out to the community." Yvonne Williams, Continuing Education |

|
 |
"I think having
something like that near campus is a good idea. Whether I would use it or not would be
another question. I do not think a retirement center would attract so many older folks to
campus that it would hinder the students." Jim
Keller, Computing and Information Services |
