Registration for the Fall 2015 Workshop will open on September 15th. Registration will be $15 for all attendees.

This link will provide driving directions from any region of South Carolina.

Drop-off and Parking

Buses may drop off participants at the main (front) entrance to CATS (look for the SCJAS banner) and then park in the adjacent "gravel" parking lot, located to the left of the building. All other vehicles may park in the front parking lot (main entrance) and any overflow may park adjacent to the main building in the "paved" student parking area.

Registration - 100 Hallway
Check-in / Registration will be in the main (central) corridor as you enter the building. Be sure to check in, pick up your name badge and confirm the sessions to which you have been assigned.

Plenary Session, Lunch and the Closing Session  will all be held in the main auditorium (near regsitration tables).

Break-Out / Hands-On Sessions (Current List of Offerings) 
A variety of Break-Out (Hands-on ) sessions have been organized for this workshop.  When you register for the meeting - you will have the option of selecting your top four choices for sessions to attend.  While we can not guarantee any specific session - we will make every effort to place you in sessions that you requested. Those selections with a PD designation are recommended for teachers only (these sessions are being created to enable teachers to connect their workshop experience with their classroom instruction).  

Professional Development / Continuing Education Credit for Teachers

Teachers attending the full workshop (this includes plenary session and Sessions #1, #2 and #3) will be eligible for up to 4 hours of continuing education (PD) credit.  A signed certificate of attendance will be issued at the end of the workshop and teachers can submit this form to the appropriate individual in their district to obtain their PD/CE credit.

Breakfast / Lunch

A light breakfast has been included in your registration fee.   Assorted muffins, breakfast biscuits, coffee, juice, and water will be served in the Multi-purpose Room at 8am.  A buffet-style lunch will also be provided and served at 12:30 in the Multi-purpose Room.  Chef Urso and his culinary students will offer a Pasta Bar with spaghetti and a choice of sauces.  In addition, they will prepare a salad, beverages, and chocolate chip cookies.

Note: If you have food allergies or other dietary restrictions, please contact John Kaup (john.kaup@furman.edu) with your specific needs.

Please dress in layers. The temperature in the Multi-Purpose Room runs hot & cold.  If you wear layers, you will be comfortable all day. Also, be sure to wear comfortable shoes.  You may have to walk from the overflow parking lot to the building, and the inside flooring is concrete throughout the facility.
